In October 2008, shortly after learning that his third child was on the way, Executive Director, Dr. David Norman, decided that it was time for his family to move on from the Academy. In the months following the staff has worked closely with the Board of Directors to develop a strategic plan for the future of the Academy. Check back here for updates. Beginning in the fall of 2009, the Academy will take on a new curriculum model that engages a range of outstanding instructors and speakers. To maintain the highly integrated nature of the curriculum, an academic coordinator will oversee class and work closely with the Senior Faculty and Executive Director to make ongoing assessments. The other core components of the Academy experience, including intentional community, worship, service and mentoring will remain structured in a similar fashion.
We are proud to announce that Dr. Os Guinness, Dr. William Edgar (Trinity Forum Senior Fellow) and Dr. Joseph “Skip” Ryan will serve as Senior Faculty for the 2009-2010 academic year. The Academy Senior Faculty will be responsible for:
We are especially excited that Dr. Os Guinness, founder and visionary for The Trinity Forum and the Academy, has agreed to play a significant teaching role.
To lead the management and strategic development of the Academy, Grady Powell, the current Director of Operations, will assume the role of Executive Director.
Senior faculty will be responsible for curriculum development, lead teaching roles and academic and personal mentoring for the Fellows.
