Scholar in Residence Program

The Trinity Forum Academy invites you to apply to join us at Osprey Point as a Scholar in Residence. This is a perfect opportunity to get away to write or work on a project. Stay as our guest from three days to two weeks, during the Fall or Spring semester.

You will receive complimentary lodging in our newly renovated Scholar in Residence apartment, which affords a beautiful view of the Chesapeake. You will also be given the opportunity to deliver one or more lectures in your field of expertise and to engage in conversation about its intersection with Christian faith. You are invited to join our regular worship time and classes which take place on weekdays between 8:00 and 10:30am. Overall, we want your time here to be an opportunity for you to work, to be encouraged by our community and to enjoy the property. Amenities include WiFi, workout center, pool, tennis court, canoes and kayaks.

Note: Lodging and any meals you would like to eat with the Academy Fellows are complimentary. Scholars are responsible for any other food during their stay, which can be prepared in the Scholar in Residence Apartment which has a sink, small refrigerator, microwave, stove and oven. There are several grocery stores nearby.

How to Apply

We welcome applications from established and emerging scholars, professionals and ministers. To apply, please submit a brief statement concerning:

  • Your background and Christian faith
  • Your academic pursuits and proposed lecture topics
  • Suggested dates between October and April
