Barbara Bryant

Barbara Bryant obtained her undergraduate degree in art and archaeology and her Master’s degree in teaching, after which she taught kindergarten for a time. Mother of three grown children, she now serves as Vice President of the Bryant Family Vineyard and is a Trustee of the Trinity Forum.

She is heavily involved in the St. Louis arts community, working with such organizations as the Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Dance St. Louis, and the St. Louis Art Museum. She also works with The Haven of Grace, a transitional residential shelter for homeless pregnant women, and is a founding member of the steering committee for the Bowery Mission Women’s Residential Center in New York City. Her hobbies and interests include gardening, cooking, painting, and arts and antiques.

If we do not know some purpose for ourselves, we will not be able to fulfill that great Socratic admonition to “know ourselves,” for we cannot know even ourselves by knowing only ourselves.
