Trinity Forum Academy Staff

David NormanDavid A. Norman, Ph.D. is the executive director of the Trinity Forum Academy.

Before joining the staff in July 2006, David was Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Religion at the University of South Carolina, Lancaster. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Auburn University, received a Masters in Christian Thought from Reformed Theological Seminary, and took his Ph.D. in philosophical theology from the University of Edinburgh. Adding to his list of published journal articles and papers presented at academic conferences, he has published a scholarly book with the Edwin Mellen Press on mind and body in the philosophical theology of Donald MacKay. He holds memberships in the American Philosophical Association, the Society of Christian Philosophers, the Evangelical Philosophical Society, the South Carolina Society for Philosophy, and Christians in Science.

David is married, and he and his wife, K.D., have two young sons.

Grady and Sarah PowellGrady and Sarah Powell joined The Trinity Forum Academy staff in 2007. Grady serves as the Director of Operations for the Academy and Sarah serves as the Assistant Director for Residential Life.

Prior to moving to Osprey Point, they lived in Greenville, South Carolina, Sarah’s hometown, where Grady worked as a senior account executive for Erwin-Penland, an office of Hill-Holliday Advertising. Grady graduated from Furman University with a degree in Economics.

Sarah is a registered nurse specializing in pediatric care and has extensive experience working as a youth group leader. Sarah graduated with her nursing degree from Liberty University.

Together Sarah and Grady enjoy traveling, cooking, exercising, and exploring new places, especially beautiful ones like the Eastern Shore.

The relationships I’ve formed will be with me forever—I anticipate remaining a part of the other Fellows’ lives as we journey through life together, holding one another accountable to our commitments and spurring one another on in service to God’s Kingdom.
