We are delighted to invite you to a Trinity Forum Reading Group in New York City! There we will discuss our Trinity Forum Reading "Babette's Feast," featuring a short story about a mysterious woman whose artisry and generosity transfixed and perplexed her insular adopted community.
The Reading Group will follow up on our recent partnered event "A Feast of Grace: Art, Faith, and Generosity in Babette’s Feast" with Christian Union.
Trinity Forum Reading Groups provide opportunities to reflect on and discuss great works of literature and letters. This upcoming discussion will explore Isak Dinesen’s classic story of grace, generosity, and hospitality in a rural Norwegian village. It invites the reader to reflect on the transformative power of grace and hospitality in remaking our lives and relationships. You can order the Reading to prepare for our discussion by visiting the Trinity Forum online store.
Please note that space for this discussion is limited. We are offering seats to the first 25 individuals who respond. Register now to reserve your spot!
Drinks and light appetizers will be served, followed by a discussion of the Reading. Please note: the Union League Club attire requires jackets and dress slacks and shirts for gentlemen and appropriate equivalent dress is required for women. Jeans and sneakers are not permitted. We hope this will not inhibit your attendance and enjoyment of this event.
