
Tasia Filippatos is Senior Vice President for Communications at Disney Consumer Products (DCP), the business division of The Walt Disney Company that extends the Disney, Marvel and Star Wars brands to consumers around the world through three business units: Licensed Products, Disney Publishing Worldwide, and Disney Store. Tasia provides leadership across all facets of DCP communications including public relations, corporate communications, executive engagement, social media, internal communications, corporate responsibility, special events and licensee and retailer communications. Tasia was previously Vice President, Worldwide External Communications for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, which included oversight over the external communication efforts of the division’s five theme park resorts around the world, Disney Cruise Line and Adventures by Disney.
Before joining Disney, Tasia served in a number of senior government roles, including Director of Public Affairs at the Department of Justice, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security and a lead spokesperson at the Department of the Treasury.
Tasia is a member of the Board of Overseers of Seton Hall University’s John C. Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations and a member of the Board of Advisors of the Trinity Forum.
Tasia is a cum laude graduate of Claremont McKenna College and received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. She and her husband have a son and a daughter and live in southern California.
