Discovery & Doxology Series Highlights September 2016 - July 2018

Discovery & Doxology

Between September 2016 and July 2018, the Trinity Forum partnered with BioLogos and Church of the Advent to host four Evening Conversations and follow-up dinners in a series on “Discovery and Doxology” to explore the ways in which scientific discoveries and spiritual knowledge can be complimentary and reinforcing, rather than adversarial, and together enable a better understanding of our world, and what it means to be human. During the course of all four event, over 900 participants — including scientists, researchers, and technicians as well as individuals less directly involved with these fields, but curious to learn more about scientific discoveries — joined us at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Several participants remarked that they rarely have had the opportunity to learn about how science and faith can work in harmony. One participant noted “the joining of Trinity Forum with BioLogos and Church of the Advent is a wonderful model for DC. It is great tool for building community in an era of human isolation and individualism.” We are grateful for the opportunity to catalyze such conversation and community.
