A Christmas Carol

This holiday season, we are delighted to present a special Trinity Forum Reading featuring selections from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, with an introduction by literary scholar Karen Swallow Prior.

Since A Christmas Carol was first published in 1843, Dickens’ classic has captured the imagination and heart of generations of readers. While it has come to be considered the most Christmas-y of tales, it begins in literal and symbolic darkness, confronting both the characters and readers with the consequences of living blind to the plight of the vulnerable. But ultimately, A Christmas Carol is a story of revelation and redemption—offering hope that even the meanest of misers can learn to live and love generously.

We think you’ll enjoy reflecting on and discussing Dicken's work—and that your friends (and all of those on your Christmas card list!) will enjoy it as well. For the cost of a Christmas card, you can share with your friends the gift of this thought-provoking and evocative work of great literature.

This year, we are offering special discounts for individuals wishing to send our Trinity Forum Christmas Reading as (or alongside) their Christmas card to friends, family, or colleagues. We are also offering competitive prices for organizations looking for creative gifts to include in a company gift basket or to give to employees or clients.

If you are interested in ordering 20 or more copies of A Christmas Carol as a corporate gift or for your Christmas card list, please contact Alyssa Abraham at 202.944.9881.
