Evening Conversation | Beauty in a Broken Culture, with Makoto Fujimura

Evening Conversation with Makoto Fujimura

In this Evening Conversation, Fujimura argues for the importance of creating and conserving beauty as an antidote to much of our cultural brokenness, and asserts the need for cultural generativity in our public life. He also asserts that beauty is vital to the “soul care” of each individual, and offers a new vision for artists, supporters and “creative catalysts” of the power of artistic generativity and generosity to inspire, edify, and heal. And he advocates the creation of new “cultural estuaries” to nurture and cultivate that which is beautiful, imaginative, and hospitable in culture.
